Sim - Dr Henry Haydock

Dr. Haydock might seem like a serious man, but he really is a man who appreciates life. His friendship with Miss Marple is utmost important to him, and he has been assisting her many times in solving mysteries. When not helping Miss Marple, or saving sims from sickness, he enjoys the quiet pleasures in life; a good book, a relaxing day fishing or playing a game of domino with a good friend.

Sim - The Clement Family

Leonard Clement is the Vicar in St. Mary Mead, and he and his wife Griselda are dear friends and neighbours of Miss Marple. Actually, the vicar had gotten used to living his life alone, when he met Griselda quite late in life. Her happy-go-lucky nature and dazzling beauty captivated him from the start. Around the tables at the Tea salon their relationship were a much debated topic, but nobody really thought that it would last. How wrong they all were! The Clement couple, in spite their differences, are the most harmonic couple you can imagine.

Sim - The Protheroe family

Lettice is the only child of Lucius' Protheroe, and the heir to The Old Hall. She is his jewel, and his weak spot. Probably the sole weak spot he has, because the Colonel is definitely a hard man. The citizens of St. Mary Mead are a bit afraid of him, and many good, honest people has been hurt by his harsh words. Even the friendly Vicar struggles to find something nice to say about him. Lettice is still young, but is taking after her father's ways. Nobody will tell her what she can and can't do. Not even her father.

Sim - Mrs Estelle Lestrange

Is she good? Is she bad? Maybe a murderer? For sure she is a very mysterious woman, and kind of pretty, in an interesting way. Rumor says that she is in St. Mary Mead for a very particular reason, and somebody in the village knows exactly what the reason is.

Lot - The Old Hall

The Old Hall is a large estate that has been in the Protheroe family for ages. Colonel Protheroe might not be a very likable man, but he is a man of action. He runs the estate with military precision, and there is no mercy for neither housekeepers nor gardeners (or even his wife, for that matter) if they don't do their job. And the garden and the house is always spotless. However, the colonel has a weak spot; his daughter Lettice, whom he spoils unbridledly.

Story - The Mysterious Mrs. Estelle Lestrange

There were much speculation when Mrs. Lestrange  arrived in St. Mary Mead. Some were puzzled, didin't she look like someone familiar? Others just thought she was very mysterious indeed. She was settling in just fine in her little cottage. But she carried a heavy secret, and the memories hunted her.

Lot - Dr Haydock's House

Dr. Haydock is Miss Marple's closest neighbour, and also a good friend and collaborator. He spends most of his time in the office, where he receives patients and even conduct experiments to see if there is a connection between criminal tendencies and glandular dysfunction. He presently lives alone, but there are room for guests to sleep over. If you want to move in someone else, the house is well suited for a family of five.

Lot - The Old Fire station

I don't really know if there is a fire station in St. Mary Mead, or at least I can't remember reading about one. But don't you think there should be? I'm sure Miss Marple feels a lot safer when she's lighting up the fireplace, knowing those brave men and women would come to her rescue in no time.

Lot - Jamieson Hairdresser

Jamieson Hairdresser is located in the middle of High street, between the Tailor and the Butcher's shop, and with the Antique's shop just around the corner. It's a great place for the ladies of St. Mary Mead to meet, where they can learn the latest news, and get their hair done of course. It must be said, that it's quite large salon for such a small village, but it is very popular, and Mrs. Jamieson seems to be very busy.

Lot - The Railway station

The Railwaystation is an important traffic junction for the citizens of St. Mary Mead. Maybe the trains are not that frequent, but if you are patient, the 4.50 from Paddington will arrive. The Station Master live on the first floor, and must be a very friendly person, since he never locks his door. He lets the visiting sims have a snack or lay down to rest in his private quarters, if they need to. (All though very few have actually seen him!)

Lot - The Vicarage

The Vicarage is the home of Leonard and Griselda Clement, both of them among Miss Marple's closest friends. They have a spacious home and a large, but somewhat neglected garden. And there is of course the art studio, leased to one of their neighbours, Mr. Lawrence Redding. But you can of course move in any family you like, the lot is suitable for a large family.

Sim - Miss Jane Marple

We all have different images of the famous detective from Agatha Christies novels, and a simmified version would make it even more challenging to agree on what she looks like. So I decided to keep it really simple, logical and straight forward. Much like Miss Marple herself, at least the way I see her! :)
