Lot - The Public Bath

In the middle of the 19th century the megalomaniac (or mad, if you like) Maire Musgrove decided to build a bath in St. Mary Mead, in hope of "fresher air at the council meetings". Many villagers thought this was much too extravagant for their little town, but now that it's there it is highly appreciated. To spend a day at the bath is refreshing for body and soul!

Lot - Gypsy Life Riverbanks

Something were lacking in my Kefalonian neighbourhood. Where were the colourful gypsies?
Most gypsies have a strong affiliation to their family, and love to live close to other members of the clan. So when one family found their little spot by the  Bridge, soon their cousins settled nearby. Even if they are quite poor, their living conditions are a little bit better than for their more unlucky relatives. Even this tiny house can house a family of six, and the quite large outdoor area make up for the rather confined spaces inside. But this family love the outdoors anyway!

Lot - Bricktown Brick Road no. 20

It's fascinating how the same house take different personalities according to their owners, isn't it? This kind of brick house are typically built in a row, and you could find them in many cities' suburbia.

I have made this brick house collection in tribute to immigrants all over the world. They richen the design, food, music and fashion and are important contributors to the culture they come to, and make our neighbourhoods colourful and interesting. This house is the same as #3 but without indoor wallpapers or furniture. There are four decorated (#2, #3, #4 and #5) and three undecorated (#1, #11 and #20) houses in the Bricktown series.

Walking down Brick road you realize that the houses are very similar, except from some minor differences. Brick road 3 and 4 are semi-detached, and this post shows you what hides behind the door of number 4, the brick building. It is the home of a small West-African family, and their house is the witness of their love for music, their home country and the colours of Africa.
